My teammates and I were entrusted with designing the branding for “Cucina Italiana”, an Italian pop-up at Johnson & Wales University. This required us to design and produce a logo, a menu, ordering slips, and flyers for both the soft opening and the grand opening.

The chefs requested a retro “New York Italian” aesthetic for the branding. This instantly made me think of a cheesy pizza chef caricature. The chefs also wanted a frying pan to be incorporated, which I decided to use as the caricature’s head. I was ecstatic that my logo and branding design was selected for this pop-up.

We were invited to dine on the opening night and had a delightful time. We got to see the fruits of our labor in real-time and eat some of the best Italian food in the world.
