My class was tasked with designing a music festival website for a hypothetical event. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and target a genre I am not very familiar with. I wanted Girlz Nite to be feminine, youthful, and retro. I took a great deal of inspiration from the Y2K glitter scenes.
I developed my design in Adobe Xd, and ended up very proud of the result. I feel I was able to stay true to my branding concept while working with such an unfamiliar subject. I allowed myself to get creative with the layouts of the different elements throughout the wireframe, resulting in a design that I feel would attract my target audience.
